Jimmy Rabbitt To Miss KROQ Date, But Make Donation To The T. J. Martell Foundation on behalf of the KROQ Reunion 2001 Broadcasters Convention

(Wednesday August 1, 2001 Grand Junction, CO) ... Radio Free Texas Records announced today that due to a prior contractual agreement, The Jimmy Rabbitt and Renegade 2001 Show at the KROQ Reunion on Friday August 4, 2001, in the Grand Ballroom of the Pasadena Hilton Hotel will be postponed until the evening of the KROQ Reunion 2002. The band, and record company will continue with their pledge to the T. J Martell Foundation, and other charities, on behalf of the KROQ Broadcasters who will gather and sign the donation card at the KROQ Reunions 2001, of c.d. sales on the special limited edition of "Fast Times At The El Palomino" release from Radio Free Texas Records.

The c.d. will include not only the original "Jimmy Rabbitt and Renegade" album, but also will feature new un-released tracks from Jimmy Rabbitt with special guest stars like Waylon Jennings, Bobby Rambo, Tom "Branson" Brumley, Billy "the other billy.com" Graham, Mickey Raphael, James Booker, Ralph Mooney, Robert Hardy, Dave "Slats" Johnson, Gayle "Smith" McCormick, "Bugs" Henderson, Dennis Lardin, Jerry Zeremba, Daniel Moore, Matt Moore, Rex W. Ludwick, Carol "Gimme Shelter" Holmes, Doug Sahm, Augie Meyers, Atwood Allen, Eddy Payne and many others, is now available for the first time on c.d., including newly re-mastered digital versions of old vinyl favorites like "Ladies Love OutLaws", "Wishey Washy Woman", "Longhaired Redneck", "Dixie Fried", "40 Days", "Cocaine Carolina", and "Don't The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing Time", and a very tribute to Tom Ayres and Doug Sahm, with special recordings of "Wheels Rollin'" and "Homecoming" performed by many of Doug's talented friends, and produced by multi-Grammy and Emmy winning record producer Jerry Wexler. Also on the c.d., for the first time ever, a live recording from the "Buddy Holly Movie Band" featuring multi-grammy winners John Jarvis., and Richie "Little Feat" Haywood, and some old and new music from Jimmy Rabbitt.
